There has been an amazing development in the ongoing Allison/Ellison DNA Project for both the Allison and Ellison lines from Orange and Rockland Counties in NY: Both families have been found to be genetically related! - at least those who descend from Lawrence ELLISON (b. 2 Jan 1599/1600, Yorkshire, ENG; d. Dec 1665/66 Hempstead, NY) and Joseph ALLISON (d. 1755, Goshen, Orange Co., NY). The company that is co-ordinating the Allison/Ellison DNA Project is now offering a special end-of-the-year discount on DNA testing through December 31, 2008. The Y-Chromosome 37 marker DNA test price is REDUCED to $119 (normally $189) This discounted price is for NEW project members only, so if you are an Allison or Ellison male or if you know an Allison or Ellison male who has considered getting his Y-chromosome DNA tested, NOW is the time to do so and save some money. Please pass along the good news. With over 100 Allison and Ellison men in our Project, new members have a good chance of matching someone and finding one or more new cousins. The DNA Project was started in 2002 and is allowing us to accomplish in a few years what several generations of genealogists haven't been able to prove! We hope that more Allison and Ellison males will participate. There is still much left to discover! Please e-mail me privately at yonan at fgi.net for information about how you can join the Allison/Ellison DNA Project. Best wishes, Mary Allison Yonan Co-administrator, Allison/Ellison DNA Project Notify Administrator about this message?
