I am looking for the full obituary of Levi Rivier who died Dec 1906 in Massena NY.
This Levi moved to Long Sault Island in the St. Lawrence River between Cornwall Ontario and Massena NY when he was 3 years old. He died Dec 1906 in Massena NY. I am hoping to find that he is the som of Francois LaRiviere and Marie Amable Ricard, widow of Jean Mousseau.
Levi married Mary Revier, who was a distant relative. (this is probably the daughter of Gabriel LaRiviere). His children as listed on the obit: John of St. Paul, MN, Nelson of Washington, Edward C, Alfred, Almeda and Agnes all of Massena.
I think some of Levi's siblings were Adam, Joseph who married Margaret Cline and Margaret.
This family was related to a Levasseur. There is a Francis Levasseur whose wife was Mary Revier. I think she was a sister to Levi, but I can't prove it.
