Maxine, Have you found your Buck family on census records? In 1930 Walter & Mariette Buck are in Saint Lawrence Co, with son Walter living with Mariette`s parents James & Catherine LaFlair. In 1920 Walter, 10 & his father Walter, 37 are listed as roomers in Syracuse, Onondaga Co. I can`t quite figure out if they are in a hotel or a boarding house of some kind. There is a WW1 draft card for Walter Paul Buck b. May 20, 1883 filed in 1918 in which he gives his wife as Elisabeth Buck of 315 N. Salina St. & his job as a teamster for the Lillis Trucking co. in Syracuse. His address is 218 Franklin St. I believe this card was filed in Syracuse. In 1910 Walter Buck, age 26, is listed as a lodger in Syracuse. He`s listed as married for 3 years but he is not with his wife. I can`t find an Elisabeth Buck in the county & also can`t find young Walter. If you know where Walter, Sr. died in 1951 try to get his death record. It may give his parents names. I can`t locate him on the 1900 census. Pat R. Notify Administrator about this message?
