1870 Burke Family, Hadley, Saratoga

I have traced my Bukes living in NYC from 1850 census and upwards. However, in 1870 Elizabeth Burke (my G-G Grndmother) and 5 of her sons show up on the Hadley, Saratoga census while her husband remains on the NYC census. In 1880, they are all back NY. Can I trace land records in Hadley - what would take family there, census was done in August, possibly summer home? She is Elizabeth born approx. 1820, born in England, living in Hadley with John, James ( my great grandfather) George, Thomas and maybe one other. Any ideas? THanks Cathy Quinn
