The counties don't have many vital records, but from approximately 1906 to 1935 they did retain marriage license applications, and this marriage was among them.

John Wagner, 21, born in Germany

parents: John Wagner and Catherine Hink, both born in Sellerwig, Germany

married Margaret Bunt, 21, born in Hillsdale NY

parents: Andrew Bunt and Jessie Miller (Andrew born in Hillsdale and Jessie born in "US")

Married on April 19, 1908 in the Town of Milton, Saratoga County. [hey it's almost their 100th anniversary!!!]

John was also naturalized here, in Saratoga County, on 10 February 1913. He lived at 148 Maple Avenue, Ballston Spa, and had been born in Elmshorn, Germany on 14 December 1886. He arrived at the port of NY on 17 August 1898. On his petition for naturalization, he mentioned his wife Margaret and a child Catherine who had been born in Ballston Spa on 4 September 1910.

[The Village of Ballston Spa is mostly located within the Town of Milton.]
