Hi William. I've been off line for about seven months. I'm so pleased I didn't miss your message. An email friend told me there was a very high concentration of PATRICKS in Stillwater.
At this time, I'm trying to find a male relative of my father who will do DNA testing, since I can only trace my maternal line. I had heard that my Patricks came from Scotland, so I went there several times trying to trace them. They were supposed to be related to the Lamonts of Cowal. I spent a lot of time on Cowal and in Kilwinning, Ayrshire and found the family that had been claimed as ours, but their line ended there without coming over, Only one of them changed his name to Kilpatrick and moved to Northern Ireland- but my family never used Kil as far back as I traced them! My father was James Andrew Patrick, born in KY and died in IN. His father was Elijah, born and died in KY. His father was John "Fighting Jack" born and died in Ky. His father was Robert, born 1764 in VA, fought in war of 1812. He died in "Patrick" Ark. Robert's father was Hugh, born supposedly in Va, 1730. He was in the Rev War. A very long line has been hooked to him, but there is no real proof at all! I couldn't read your email address very well. I hope you will email me direct with it . Perhaps we can help each other. Ellie Patrick
