My great great grandfather John D. Ward(b. 1819)of Otsego, NY married a Permilia Z. (b. 1825) of Hadley, Saratoga County, NY. Just obtained her birth year and town from cemetary records in Aurora Illinois where she died in 1881 of dysentary.
Any information on her maiden name, parents and/or siblings names, etc. much appreciated.
John D. Ward served with the 64th NY Infantry in the Civil War. When he married they emigrated to Iowa (possibly along with the Quaifes of Dugway Hamlet, Oswego, NY)and then settled in Marble Rock, Floyd County, Iowa. Members of the two families later grew up and married, producing my line.
Any info on John D. Ward's parents and siblings also gratefully appreciated.
