I am doing research for a friend...getting away from my own roadblock. :)
Seems her entire family (once in the States) came from Schoharie...Cobleskill, Jefferson, Blenheim, Breckabeen.
Her parents were Alvah CRAPER and Ruth Alice HELLIJAS.
I'm doing well on the CRAPSER side (whick includes the names ROE, STRAIN, DAULEY, WERELEY, NELSON, JONES, DIBBLE, MATTICE, CRIPPEN, OSTROM, SCHREIBER, VAN VLEIT, and names from Germany and Switzerland that I will not list here (too many).
Having a very, very hard time on her HELLIJAS side (her mom's side). Ruth HELLIJAS was b.in Cobleskill 12/13/1917,
d. in Springfield, MA but buried in Cobleskill Rural Cemetary 9/12/1976.
dau. of James HELLIJAS & Alice "Allie" BECKER m. 1897 Schoharie. (Alice b. Blenheim 9/10/1876) - have no other info for this line of BECKER'S.
James HELLIJAS son of Peter HELLIJAS & Melinda DECKER m. 1873 Blenheim. Melinda d. 1/26/1925.
That's it.
If any one can help, I'd be much appreciative. And I have much info on the other lines and am willing to share.
