I would like to be put in contact with a descendant of Eve Beckel Messer, b. 1849 in Bavaria, or of her husband, George P. Messer (1839-1906). They were in the 1870 census in Middleburgh with a 1 year old daughter Jane. They also had a dau. Anna B. b. 1869 (Perhaps Jane and Anna are the same person.) Eve died 26 Dec. 1870, reportedly by drowning. I am trying to determine the details of her death. Messer married secondly Christina Houck and they had 7 children by 1900.
