I can't help with the obituary, sorry.
But...
I show George W. Davis as being born in Bath, Steuben, New York, USA in 1837. Married to Dora Ellen Henderson (1859-1920), about 1884, possibly in Missouri? He died 1 July 1919 in Valois, Schuyler, New York, United States. (based on cemetery records). He was one of 9 siblings [Willimina(1823-), Mary A. Davis (1828-), Catharine Davis (1831-),Thomas Davis (1835-1899),George Davis (1837-1919), William Henry Davis (1841-),Emily Davis (1842-1904), Rachel Davis (1845-1927), Margaret Davis (1849-)].
His Father was John Davis (1794-23 September 1871), married to Rachel Matthews (1805-). (Married about 1822, Milo, Yates, New York, USA) 11th of 16 siblings. John Davis, son of Malachi Davis (4 June 1745, Pennsylvania - 30 Jun 1832) and Catherine Gilkerson (1753-1835), married about 1770 in Milo, Yates, NY.
Malachi Davis was son to Malachi Davis, born before 1719, of Philadelphia, PA; probably born in Wales. More info on Malachi Sr. here:
