Searching for the parents of Nancy Maria Pease (aka Maria or Mary), b. 1820-1822 in New York State, father b. Vermont, mother b. Canada. She married William Henry Vanness (aka Henry) about 1840. The Vaness' lived in Yates, Orleans County, NY in 1850, then settled in Michigan. I suspect that Nancy Maria may have been the daughter of Merrill Pease (b. 1795, Andover, VT) and Charlotte Lowns Pease (b. ca. 1800, Canada) who lived in Wolcott, Seneca Co, NY in 1820 and moved to Rose, Wayne Co, NY shortly thereafter. My only "evidence" is the combination of birth locations and 1830/1840 census data that shows a female child of the appropriate age.
Any information that would help me to establish (or rule out) this linkage would be greatly appreciated.
