James Dailey at Willard Asylum

I am hoping someone can put me in the right direction. I am looking for information on my husband's great grandfather, James Dailey. Uncle Paul Dailey says his grandfather had a breakdown and went into Willard. I have James listed in the 1875 census for Yates County Town of Milo, Penn Yan, New York as being 23 and married to Georgetta Parshall. The census says he was born in Yates County. But my mother-in-law says he was born in Canada. The next time I can find him in Yates County Town of Milo, Penn Yan, New York is in the 1880 census and he is listed as being 29, still married to Georgetta and with a three year old son, Albert. Uncle Paul says his name was ONLY BERT, NOT ALBERT. Then in the 1900 census for Yates County, Town of Milo, Penn Yan, New York Georgetta Parshall Dailey is listed as being married to George Calkins. This census says they have been married 13 years.
I am trying to find out when James Dailey died at Willard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
