Pamela,

Do you have access to census records? The 1850 census of Covert, Seneca Co. shows a Johnathan(note the spelling)Brown, age 4, in the home of Marvin, 39, & Rebecca, 35, Brown along with two younger Brown children, Dewitt, 3 & Alice, 1. They are living next door to Jonathan Brown, age 70, who has a Lucretia Brown, age 42, in his household as well as two women named Hannah, one age 30 & the other 19. In 1860 in Covert, M. R. Brown, age 49, is head of household with Nancy, 25, probably a 2nd wife & Jonathan, 14, DeWitt, 12, Alice, 11, Elda, 3 & Mary, 1 mo. They are next door to Jonathan Brown, age 80, Eunice, 55, Lucretia, 52 & Harriet, 34.

In 1870 in Covert, a John Brown, age 25 is head of household with Emma. Her age is given as 13 on the index but on the page the age is unreadable & could be 15, 16, etc. She is with him at age 26 in 1880 with Luceta (Lucretia) & the two girls.

I think Marvin Brown was a son of Jonathan Brown & Lucretia was his sister or possibly sister-in-law, although I think she was a single lady. Marvin was your Jonathan`s father.

Pat R.
