James,

I am connected to Seeley's in the Neversink and Fallsburgh area. Are you a descendant? I found Seeley's living in Livingston Manor, NY through anywho.com -- last summer my husband and I vacationed nearby at the Beaverkill Valley Inn but hadn't discovered my connection to the area until just a few weeks ago. How I wish I had known while we were in NY!!!

In my family tree I have 2nd generation Abner Seelye b. 5/31/1768 (Served in War of 1812 amd Built and operated the Lockwood Mill on the falls of the Neversink River, NY) married to Eunice Smith b. 3/6/1772. They had 5 children, including Abner (3rd in a line of Abners), who married Julia Ann Rose. One of their children was Horace Burr Seeley, who was father to Abbalena (Abbie) Seeley. She was my great grandmother - my mother was named after her. Abbie married Eugene Justice Walters. They died in Trenton, NE. Have more details if you are interested.

Very new to genealogy and enjoying hearing from and about distant 'cousins'!
