15 Sept 1899 issue of The Republican Watchman

--published at Monticello, NY

Jane Stickles, wife of Mr John Worden, of Mongaup, died at her home in
that place at three o'slock Tuesday morning of neuralgia of the heart.
She was aged 47 years the 17th of last January.

She was born at Rose's Point, Jan 17,1852, and was the daughter of
William and Hester Stickles, who still reside at that place. On July 4,
1869, she was married to John Worden, since when they have resided at
Rose's Point and Mongaup.

The deceased is survived by her husband, parents and six children:
Minnie, wife of Frank R(P)augh, of Mt. Salem,NJ; Hattie, wife of Edson Remey, of
Port Jervis, John H., of Rutherford, NJ, and Harry, Anna and Jessie at
home; four sisters, Hattie, wife of Miles Sturdevant, of Hartwood Park, NY;
Emma, wife of Marcus Clark of Port Jervis, and Anna and Elizabeth Stickles,
of this village, and one brother, William Stickles, of Roscoe, NY.

It appears that John Worden died sometime between 15 Sep 1899 and 1900 at the taking of the census, when his daughter Jessie appears in her brother-in-law's household.
