I am looking for WORDEN and STICKLE connections. What follows was taken from 1850 and 1860 census in Fishkill, NY: John Worden Birth: abt 1812 or 1817, in England (1850 and 60 census) or NY (son's 1880 census). Laura Ann _____ Worden (wife) (Laura A. on 1860 census; Ann on 1850 census) Birth: 1820 in NY (1860 and son's 1880 census) or Mass (1850 census) Death: bef 1870 in NY (does not appear on 1870 census) Children: 1. Margaret A. Worden, born abt 1845 in New York (1860 census) or Mass (1850 census) 2. John Worden, born 1846 in Milton, New York (1860 and 1880 census) or Mass (1850 census). John enlisted 1862 in Company F, 128th Infantry Regiment New York, at Fishkill. On 4 July 1869, John Worden married Jane Stickle in Rouses Point, NY. Lived in Mongaup. Worden 1 The following is from the microfilm located at the NY State Library at Albany. 15 Sept 1899 issue of The Republican Watchman --published at Monticello, NY Jane Stickles, wife of Mr John Worden, of Mongaup, died at her home in that place at three o'slock Tuesday morning of neuralgia of the heart. She was aged 47 years the 17th of last January. She was born at Rose's Point, Jan 17,1852, and was the daughter of William and Hester Stickles, who still reside at that place. On July 4, 1869, she was married to John Worden, since when they have resided at Rose's Point and Mongaup. The deceased is survived by her husband, parents and six children: Minnie, wife of Frank R(P)augh, of Mt. Salem,NJ; Hattie, wife of Edson Remey, of Port Jervis, John H., of Rutherford, NJ, and Harry, Anna and Jessie at home; four sisters, Hattie, wife of Miles Sturdevant, of Hartwood Park, NY; Emma, wife of Marcus Clark of Port Jervis, and Anna and Elizabeth Stickles, of this village, and one brother, William Stickles, of Roscoe, NY. It appears that John Worden died sometime between 15 Sep 1899 and 1900 at the taking of the census, when his daughter Jessie appears in her brother-in-law's household.
