I have been following this thread with interest, yours truly being the one who informed Ken that Gertrude married George Margison (1872 – 1940). The parents of the Gertrude (1874 – 1951) in question were James E. (1843 - ) & Hannah UNK (1843 in Ireland - ); her grandparents were William Jacocks Van Keuren (1808 – 1891) & Sarah Raymond Westervelt (1814 – 1879).

Gertrude & George are buried in the Van Keuren Cemetery. It was from the dates on their gravestones plus the information in Ken’s initial query about Ella Margison Van Keuren that helped me to fill in my blanks on these Van Keurens using the 1850 – 1910 U.S. Censuses for Bethel. My interest in the Van Keurens stems from my husband’s maternal grandmother having been Eleanor (Ella) Van Keuren (1887 – 1967), daughter of Eugene D. (1856 – 1919) & Syrena Armstrong (1863 – 1930) and wife of 1) Louis W. DuBois (1885 - 1921) and 2) Michael Kiley.
