I am looking for any information on the parents of Frederick Owens, who I believe was born in Tioga County abt August 1835. In 1863, he enlisted with the 109th NY Infantry Regiment to fight for the Union during the Civil War and was assigned to Company K (Company K was recruited principally from Nichols, Candor, and Owego). Almost immediately after the war, he moved to Abington, PA.
Any information on any Owen's family in Tioga County will also be helpful.
