I am looking for information and Abel and Susan Beard.
Here is what I know:
Abel Beard is the son of Abel Beard and Huldah Gardner
He was born in New Hampshire abt 1818. He died in Illinois.
His wife was Susan. She was born abt 1826 in New York.
I would love to know her maiden name. She died in Illinois.
They were married abt 1840 in Tioga county, New York.
Confirmation of the location, and the date of the marriage would really help me out.
They had two children, Martin Luther Beard, born about
1842 in New York, and Samuel Gordon (or Gardner) Beard, born about 1853 in Illinois.
Abel remarried, to Almira Shaffer, in 1861 in Illinois.
