Looking for info on Peter Sweeney and family who arrived in NY, specifically Plattekill about 1851-1855. Parents of Peter were Hugh and Hannah Sweeney. Have learned that Hugh had a land deed for 160 acres. Any info on land deed welcome as well as info on where in Ireland Peter and Hugh originated. Know that Peter arrived on ship Victoria 8/1851, having left from Limerick. Townland, parish, barony, etc unknown. Thought to have been from north in County Leitrim and sailed down the River Shannon to embark.
