I am looking for information on Alexander E Wolven (Wolfen), b. abt 1848 and listed in the 1880 census living in New Haven CT. Wife Caroline b.1849, children James H.b 1871, Evan b.1873, Norton A. b.1873, Fred W.b 1878.
Frederick Wilmington Wolven married Josie L Ploss b. 1877 and had at least 2 children, Irma L b. 1898 and Robert C b.1900. Josie Ploss came from Ulster County, NY, and I have several Wolven connections to her family, so I think Alexander may also have roots in the Woodstock, Ulster county NY area. Any help appreciated.
