Not sure if it helps, but I have a Laura Griggs b.1867, married to Abram Margison b.1867. Abram was born in Sullivan County, his parents were born in Hunter, Greene County. Abram and Laura later moved to Newark NJ with daughter Freda b.1896. In the 1900 census, Laura's mother, Mirna A. Griggs b. abt 1828 was living with them.
