Mary,

No, I don`t believe I`m connected to the Ulster Co. Rogers. My husband`s family evidently came from Ireland in the early to mid 1800`s. I have run into a dead end with them before 1880.

Unless you find a church baptism record for your Gabriel it`s doubtful you`ll turn up any birth info for him. NY state didn`t begin to require birth/death registration until 1881.
