Ebenezer Gere was born in Groton CT 1n 1764 and married Lucy Chapman there in 1786. His profession was a schoolteacher. They had about 10 children, the first 4-5 born in CT and the rest in NY. Both Amos (b~1798) and Charles G. (b 22 May 1803) said they were born in Ulster Co. in the 1855 Cayuga Co. census. Other possible Ulster births are Lauren, b ~ 1802-5, Lucy Ann b ~ 1807 and Henry L. b ~ 17 Feb 1810. I would appreciate any help locating records of these Ulster Co. births if they exist. What is the general situation regarding vital records in Ulster Co. from 1790-1820? Thank you.
