Mrs. George Taylor who died in Saugerties in 1850 appears to be Catherine Post, daughter of Cornelius Post and Elizabeth Bekker

According to a Post genealogy done for the DAR by Eliza Lasher Russell in 1957, George Taylor married Catharine Post, bp 1/8/1791, daughter of Cornelius Post, b. 1755 and wife Elizabeth Bekker, and had 11 children. The genealogy does not illuminate us on the names of the children. Judy Coy from San Anselmo has sent me the names of 7, William, Eliza, George, Mary Ann, Susan, Naomi and Samuel as found in a deed dated Dec, 1853 in Ulster County Book of Deeds, Liber 89, page 570.
