I can add a little on that LaFountain line:

Peter LaFountain was b. Canada c. 1815-20. He m. Amelia Sansouci, b. Canada c. 1820-21. Peter was laborer at Queensbury ED2 in 1855 (stone dwelling, $800) with wife Amelia and children John, Peter Jr. Alexander, Joseph, Mary, Pele and Matilda; all one-year residents of the town. At Queensbury in 1860 was Peter LaFountain with Milo and with Peter, Alexander, Joseph, Mary, Matilda, Adeline and Minnie. At Queensbury ED3 in 1865 (frame $200) was Peter, laborer and landowner, with wife Amelia, mother of fourteen, and children Mary, Matilda, Emiline and Cecelia; next door were Peter Jr. and wife, and two away was John and family. Peter, sawyer, was at Queensbury in 1870 with Melia and with Peter, Angeline, Amelia, Amy and Matilda. Children, first seven b. Canada:

i John B. b. 1840; m. Margaret Monty.
ii Peter b. Sept. 1843; m. {1) Cordelia Bessette; m. (2) Aurelia Gaulin.
+ iii Alexander b. c. 1844-6.
iv Joseph b. Aug. 1845; m. Lydia Gilman.
v Mary b. c. 1848-9; prob. the Maria LaFontaine who m. Glens Falls 3 Aug. 1865 Napoleon Duval; she d. 26 Aug. 1873, ae. 25, per St. Alphonsus Church recs.
vi Pele [son] b. c. 1851; not with family in 1860.
vii Matilda b. c. 1852-3; d. Schenectady the evening of 21 April 1931; m. Frank Comeau; children: Ida Comeau (unm. at Schenectady in 1931), Edward Comeau (res. 4 Stewart Ave., Glens Falls), Clemon Comeau (res. Glens Falls), [dau.] Comeau (m. Andrew Meagan; res. Troy) and [dau.] Comeau (m. William Dolphan; res. Troy).
viii Angeline bp. as Adeline, also seen as Elmire, Emeline and Adeline twin, b. 18 April 1856; d. at home, 65 First St., Glens Falls, at 8:30 p.m. 5 Feb. 1946, bur. St. Alphonsus Cem.; m. Glens Falls 27 Sept. 1879 Peter A. Dary, he was carpenter at 65 First St., Glens Falls, in 1931; Angeline was survived by dau. Mrs. Nina Buckley and son Adolphus H. Dary, both of Glens Falls; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, named in obit.
ix Edmire twin, b. 18 April 1856.

Alexander LaFountain, son of Peter, was b. Canada c. 1844-6 and d. at home of grandson Adelor St. Pierre, 4 Beech St., Glens Falls, 26 (obit.) or 25 Nov. 1933 (surr. 9446), ae. 88, bur. St. Alphonsus Cem. He m. (1) 24 Aug. 1863 Eufrosine Besset, per St. Alphonsus Church recs.; her given name also seen as Mary, L., Rosa, Frozanna and Frouzalie, b. Canada in Oct. 1848. He m. (2) Glens Falls 18 April 1903 Matihilda Duval of Glens Falls; she survived. At Queensbury ED3 in 1865 was Ellex LaFountain, laborer, with wife L., mother of one. Alex, day laborer, was at Queensbury in 1870 with Mary and with Edward. Alexander, Glens Falls laborer, was in Queensbury ED2 in 1875 with wife Frouzalie B.; children Eddie, Agnes and Isaiah and boarder Barney Morell, 27, laborer, b. Canada. At Queensbury in 1880 was Alex LaFountain, laborer, with wife Rosa and children Eddie, Agnes and Isaac. On New Alley, Glens Falls, in 1900 was Aleck, lumber peddler, with wife Frozanna, mother of eight—three alive; he was naturalized, having immigrated in 1854; she came in 1867. At 4 New Alley, Glens Falls, in 1905 was Alex, day laborer and 55-year U.S. resid., with wife Matilda, 41-year U.S. resid. He owned house at 4 Beech St., Glens Falls. By his will of 20 March 1931 and signed by mark, he left all to grandson Adelore St. Pierre and wife Alice; witnesses were J. Edward Singleton and Edgar E. Scripture. Alexander was survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Children, all bp. St. Alphonsus Church:

i Alfred b. 22 July 1866; bur. 9 March 1868, ae. 19mos.
ii Damase b. 14 June 1868; d. 26 Sept. 1869.

iv Agnes b. 28 April 1872; m. Elzeard St. Pierre; res. 35 Burgoyne Ave., Fort Edward, in 1933; known child: Adelore or Elzeard St. Pierre (m. Alice -----; res. Burgoyne Ave., Fort Edward, in 1931, Glens Falls in 1933).
v Isiah b. 2 Jan. 1875; m. Minnie -----, b. c. 1876; Isiaiah was farmer at Butternut Flats, Queensbury, in 1905, with wife Minnie and sons Herbert and Beecher; he res. Ballston Spa in 1933, 1936; known children: Herbert (b. c. 1898) and Beecher (b. c. 1901).

       Edward LaFountain, son of Alexander, was b. in March 1870 and d. Glens Falls Hospital at 2:15 p.m. 10 April 1936, ae. 66, a resid. of 29 Elm St., Glens Falls; bur. St. Alphonsus Cem. He m. c. 1888 Alice Valyer, b. June 1872. At 117 West St., Glens Falls, in 1900 was mill hand Edward LaFountain with wife Alice, mother of seven—two alive, and sons William and Arthur. Edward, day laborer, was at 5 Coffin St., Glens Falls, in 1905 with wife Alice and children William, Arthur and Irene M. Edward res. Columbia St., Glens Falls, in 1933. He was survived by several grandchildren. Children:
