On the 1880 census for Warrensburgh, Warrens co New York. there is a Sarah Gifford living in house number 60 "Warren Co. Poor house" and it says she is in jail for murder. she has two daughters with her. Pheob A. age 3 and D.J. age 1 murdered by mother.

Are there newspapers from 1880? are there any records of the poor houses? where can I get anything about this family?
