From The Post-Star: Rose E. Blackmer, 78, of 24 LaRose St., Glens Falls, died Saturday (Nov. 14, 1974) at her home after a long illness. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frances Perkins of Lockport, Miss Adelaide Ormsby of Glens Falls and Mrs. Ethel Losaw of Fort Edward; four sons, Howard Jay Davis Sr. of Bolton Landing, Martin Ormsby of Gardner MA, and George and Nelson Ormsby, both of Glens Falls; two stepdaus., Mrs. Laura Winters and Mrs. Laura Smith, both of Glens Falls; two stepsons, Roy and John Blackmer, both of Glens Falls; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Sullivan and Minahan, Park St., Glens Falls, and services were conducted by Wesleyan Church pastor. Interment was in Glens Falls Cem.
