According to Warren County Surrogate file 4524, Roland Hack d. Stony Creek 16 Sept. 1911, ae. 84-2-4, bur. Gill Cem. He was survived by, among others, dau. Louisa or Lida Hack who m. ----- Wheeler and res. Palmer Falls in 1911. Roland was b. Caldwell to Daniel and Nancy (Hall) Hack, per data of Wallace E. Hack in Warren County Historian's Files. Roland m. Maria Bennett, b. Lake George 11 March 1831 (t.s.) to William and Mahala (Coman) Bennett; she d. Stony Creek 20 July 1910, ae. 79-4-24, bur. with husband. Other Hack children, per censuses and surr. file: Julia Hack (b. c. 1850; res. Johnsburg in 1885), Acenath or Asenath Hack (b. c. 1853; res. Greenfield in 1911), Miles Hack (b. c. 1857-9; res. Glens Falls in 1911), Eleanor or Ella Hack (b. c. 1861), William Hack (b. c. 1866; res. Stony Creek in 1911), Susan (b. c. 1869-70; m. ----- VanAuken; res. Stony Creek in 1911), Cora (b. c. 1872; m. ----- VanAuken; res. Warrensburg in 1911) and George R. Hack (b. Stony Creek c. 1875; d. Ridge St., Warrensburg, 22 Feb. 1920, ae. 44-8-14; m. [name unk.]; res. Stony Creek in 1911). Per Smith's History of Warren County, p. 665, Roland or Rowland Hack moved from Bolton to Stony Creek c. 1866, but note that he was listed at Warrensburg in 1850, Johnsburg in 1855, 1865, and Stony Creek in censuses thereafter; in 1885, he operated the largest sawmill at Stony Creek.
