Thomas Collins Will State of New York County of Washington ss. I Thomas Collins of the Town of Salem in the said County by this my last Will and Testament do give and bequeath to my sons, John Collins and Elias Collins and to my Daughter Elisabeth Reid the sum of two hundred Dollars each. To my Daughter Lidia Thomas, the sum of two hundred Dollars and my largest Brass kettle. To my Daughter Mary Collins, the sum of five hundred and fifty Dollars and all the cash that may be in my possession at the time of my decease together with all my house hold furniture except the above named brass kettle and the following articles viz my Clock, the cupboard standing in the west room of my house, my largest Iron Kettle and the kitchen Table. I also give and bequeath to my said Daughter Mary Collins, as long as she continues unmarried, the use of the east rooms of my house above and below. And as much of the hall and stairs as may be necessary in passing to and from the said rooms, with a sufficiency of fire wood prepared for her use and one cow kept well Summer and winter. I direct my Executors to pay out of my estate within three years after my decease to the trustees of the Theological Seminary of the Associate reformed church of New York the sum of four hundred Dollars with interest annually to commence one year after my decease, which sum is considered as a Donation at this time payable as before mentioned. I give, devise and bequeath to my son Thomas Collins and to his heirs and assign forever all my Estate real and personal subject to the aforesaid Legacies and donation and on Condition that he shall within three years after my decease pay the said legacies and donation with Interest annually to commence one year after my decease. I do hereby appoint Thomas Collins, John McMurray and James B. Stevenson to be he Executors of this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have this 3rd day of December 1838 at Salem aforesaid and in presence of each of the attesting witnesses hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal hereby declaring this Instrument so subscribed to be my last Will and Testament and requesting Eben McMurray and Joshua Steel Jun. to sign their names respectively at the end of this my last will and testament. Thomas Collins LS Subscribed and sealed by the said testator at the end thereof in the presence of the undersigned attesting witnesses the said Testator at the time of making the said subscription declaring the above instrument so subscribed to be his last will and testament and each of the undersigned attesting witnesses then and there signing his name at the end of the said will at the request of the said testator and in his presence and in the presence of each other.
