Looking for information on my 5th great grandfather and his first wife. He was born in Northampton, MA but eventually headed to NY state, spending a short time in the Ft. Ann/Westfield area, before moving on to Steuben Co. He had 3 children with his first wife - I believe in Washington Co., though not proven yet. I also believe this is where his first wife may have died, but again, have no evidence of that. I do have the 1800 and 1810 census showing him there. He remarried in 1805, and wasn't in Steuben Co until about 1816 - so any records from before then that places him in Washington Co would be very helpful.
