Trying to find infomation on these wo grandparents. John came from England and worked as a stem fitter in the U.S. federal census. That census shows him at 33 single and boarding in Whitehall. My grandmothers family owned the Carter general store that was in whitehall across the road from the docks. They met and probably married in Whithall. The 1920 census already has the in Seattle, Washington and married with three children. The oldest was five at the time of the census. So they must have married ands moived out of Whitehall between 1910 and 1914 or 1915 at the latest as all their children were born in Washington. Frances Beatrice was the daughterr of William H Carter and Melvina JOUBERT. Any information on them will be greatly appreciated.
