Brandon,

I think Fred Seabold/Seabolt may have been born earlier than 1842 & in NY, not MI. On census records in 1870, 1880 & 1900 his birthplace is given as NY. In 1870 his age is 38 & in 1900 it`s 65. In 1880 (surname spelled SEBAULT) he is 36 but I think this is an error. In all these records he is in Westchester Co. & his wife`s name is Clara/Clarissa. His children are Alonso/Alonzo, Anna, Frederic, Bertha, Ida & Gracie.

There is a Civil War Pension Index card listed at Ancestry.com for Frederick Seabold & his widow Clara. Frederick filed for his invalid pension from NY in 1900 & Clara filed for a widow`s pension in 1909. His military unit is given as the Co. E, 47th PA. Infantry. The # for Fred`s file is 1248939 for the application & 1036108 for the certificate. Clara`s # are 922617 & 686437 You can order the pension files here: http://tinyurl.com/2slr6f The cost for one record is $75.00. Info for the 47th Inf. is here:
http://home.ptd.net/~nikki/47regt.htm Fred is listed in Co. E on this page.

Pat R.
