Memorial At Liverpool Street Station

Just in case any of you are interested, I noticed recently that near the lift at Liverpool street station, London there is a large memorial displaying those lost in one of the world wars (sorry can't for the life of me remember, but can find out if anyone wants me to) and in the list of names, there are two Oakmans.

Again if anyone wants me to find out more for you, I am more than happy to do so. I don't trace my family tree as my niece Emma Bird and an uncle have been tracing it for years. But I do have an interest.

My father was Thomas Henry Oakman 1919-1987, and his parents were Thomas Henry Oakman and Beatrice Rosina Smith

Good luck in your searches... there are loads of Oakmans living where I live, so we must be getting more common now lol

Jan
