To all the Oaxaca/Quiñones searchers:
Rodolfo Quiñones Oaxaca of Chihuahua (died Van Nuys, CA) was my grandfather. His mother was Eloisa Oaxaca and his father Apolinar Quiñones.I was named after Eloisa Oaxaca, my greatmother, who was born in Uruachi. As a result of the Mexican Revolution in which he was involved, Rodolfo migrated, eventually to California (via Texas and Arizona). He had had a large family, including my father Rudy Quiñones. There were about 50 of us at the last Quiñones family reunion in CA last year.
My aunt Alice (one of Rodolfo's daughters) went to Chihuahua at one point looking for relatives and information about the Quiñones family, but found none.I and all the California Quiñones family would be very grateful for any information on my grandfather, Rodolfo Quiñones, and his wife, Soledad Rodríguez, from Parral, and our shared ancestors.
From my grandfather I learned that Dr. Adan Velarde of Mexico City (unknown to me) was my grandfather's cousin and is somehow also related to the family.
