Peggy I have a John O'Bannon born 1771 in Mecklenburg ,NC and died 1838.he married Elizabeth Polly Allen. Have other John O'Bannon's listed but this is the closest to your time line. The O.Bannons left Va for NC ,SC, Ky, Ind and points west. Yes a number came intoGa, Ms and on to La. before Texas too. if you think this might be your missing link I do have his parents and etc back to Bryan [Byrant,Brian, Brien]O Bannon from Tipperary Ireland email me . fdilley@yahoo.com
