Reference Your Thomas O'Banion & Mildred Traylor.

I am definitely a descendant of this couple via their son Thomas,Jr.& Sara Jane Ming both of whom were originally from Limestone County, Alabama. Thomas, Jr. & Sarah Jane, who had moved to Webster County, Mississippi after their 18 April 1839 marriage, had their first child, William Bell in 1840. After Thomas, Sr's death, Thomas, Jr. and Sara Jane returned to Limestone (Athens) County, Alabama to help settled Thomas, Sr's estate. While in Alabama in 1844, their second child, Henry Thomas, my paternal grandfather, was born.

Two rather stange coincidences have surfaced about Thomas & Sara Jane. First, their grandson, George Thomas married in 1916 Jessie Mae Traylor (no currently traced kin to Mildred Traylor). Second, in December 1963 Kathryn Ann Wheatley and I became engaged to be married. Before we had any intimate knowledge of our O'Bannion genealogy, we arbitrarily set a marriage date for early Spring of 1964, primarily because our first apartment was to be completed at that time. Ironically, our arbitrary marriage date was set for 18 April 1964 exactly 125 years after Thomas, Jr and Sara Jane Ming's marriage.

If you don't have it by now, I can furnish a list of Thomas, Sr's children. Would love to exchange data with all descendants and meet them personally.
