Can anyone clarify for me why Eleanor Highfield Miller, widow of John Miller who died in 1847 in Platt Co, MO relinquished her dower to Alcanon O'Bannon in 1849 in Fleming Co, KY? The couple had lived in Fleming Co, KY for the past 30 years and only moved to Platt Co MO about 1845.

Their son, James Alexander Miller, had married Sarah Pepper, who was the granddaughter of Notley Duvall and also of Samuel Pepper.

Would love to tie this up a bit better.

Jeanine Scholz
