I believe I am genetically related to the O達annon Family. I believe one of Kimball O達annon痴 sons is my 4th g-grandfather. In order to prove what I believe to be true I submitted a DNA sample to 迭elative Genetics and started an O達annon Surname Project. My Paternal Line DNA test will look at my Y chromosome (only common in males) to identify my direct paternal line. If I am truly an O達annon male then my DNA test will show a relationship to all male descendants of Bryan Boru O達annon. There are three Paternal Line maker tests (15, 24 and 37). The more markers tested provide a higher level of certainty. I ordered the 24-marker test because it will definitely prove or exclude me as an O達annon male. Any O達annon male or any male with a similarly spelled surname (O達anion, O達annion, O達anner, etc.) looking to collaborate on family history or verify paternity is welcome to participate.
