Wow, you just provided me with the missing link! I thought James Franklin might be the son of James (1839-1864/5), and grandson of Wilson C., but I couldn't find any evidence that Wilsons C's son James had a son also named James. How did you happen to know that bit of information? It's true, you are my relative. I actually have you listed in my database as being the daughter of Clifford Henry Bretthauer and Rose Elizabeth Bryan, and having a brother named Charles. I show you married to Michael Marquez, and with one daughter Carolina. All this I got off the internet, so that's the extent of the information I have (no dates, etc.). Your grandmother Elberta was the sister of my grandfather Martin Luther. My mother would be the cousin of your mom. We share the same great-grandparents, so we are second cousins, I guess. I had no idea you actually existed. I have a narrative with photos on the O'Berry family which you might be interested in seeing, and I have a Family Tree Maker database on the Oberrys. I am just starting on the Barnes family, so all my data on them only exists as notes at this time. I believe our immigrating ancestors were John Oberry and his wife Rose Stretchey, who arrived in the US in 1636. I have just found some information indicating that they were actually married in England, not Ireland. I plan to delve into this further in the future. Thanks for the help. Let me know if you want copies of what I have so far. I live in New Zealand, so I could either burn the files onto a CD (they're large files) and mail them to you, or if you have broadband, I could email them to you. Your 2nd cousin, Steve Nielsen Notify Administrator about this message?
