Dear Leslie,
James Alpheus O'Berry was named for his mother's father (James Alpheus Barnes). His parents were James Franklin O'Berry and Elizabeth Waller Barnes O'Berry. He was their oldest son. I, too, have him married to Elizabeth Reaves...however, as a child I recall meeting him and believe his wife (at that time) was Annie (??) I recall my mother referring to "Jim and Annie." (I could, however, be confusing them with other O'Berry relatives.) Anyway, I show one daughter to James Alpheus and Elizabeth Reaves O'Berry: Kathleen O'Berry, born 12 Feb 1915 and married O'Dell Martin.
James Franklin O'Berry was my Great Grandfather; James Alpheus O'Berry was my Great Uncle. James Franklin and Elizabeth Barnes O'Berry had the following children: (the formating may be messed up - FYI: all the "2" generations are sons/daughters of James Franklin)

I can also send you my complete O'Berry tree (compiled with my O'Berry 2nd cousins: Tom Palmer; Steve Nielsen; Danny O'Berry. My grandmother (Elberta O'Berry Bryan "Dolly") and my mom (Rose Elizabeth Bryan Bretthauer) were very much into researching our heritage...but alas, the passed away before the internet opened up all these opportunities.
