Due to the obligatory in-family disputes a lot of information on our families history is lost. We have been scattered to the wind, with people in the US and Europe.
The O'Connells I am tracing lived in a townland called Cummer of the village Meelin, (they were known as the Cummery Connels). This village is a sub area of Newmarket, Co. Cork. Of the family I know were brothers, Tim, Cornelius and Benjamin. They would all have been born around the 1920s.
