I am trying to find out information about my grandfather, Shuthi Smart (went by the name Leslie).
His mother's name was Dulcie Lillian Smart and I have been told she may have had a daughter named Mary O'Connor.
I do not have any information about Mary, such as birthdates. My grandfather was born in 1903 and Mary would have been his half-sister and born after him.
Sorry to be so vague, but my grandfather was illegitimate and so the details of his life were very much shrouded in secrecy. But I hoped to make a connection between his mother, Dulcie Lillian, and Mary. Dulcie may have gone by the name Lillian, and was, in fact, known to my mother and her siblings as "Auntie Lillian."
She obviously must have married a man named O'Connor at some point and had the daughter named Mary.
