I am searching for any record of a 'Lorane Day', born in Ireland, mother of Charles Day who was born in St. Albans Twp., VT, on 1 June 1858.
Her family reportedly lived near Rouses Point, NY. She possibly immigrated into Canada and came into the US through Rouses Point, NY (St. Albans point of entry) sometime before 1858.
Charles Day, husband of Elizabeth Ida and father of Mabel and Frances Day, died in 1913 and is buried in St. Albans.
