Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find Millie with her parents in 1850. She may even be in Missouri in that time period. I'm in the process of checking all Odle/Odell families in Missouri and Illinois. John Hays, her husband, is with his family in Missouri in 1850. Also, I've seen on the censuses where Martin states that he is from Kentucky while Milly consistently states that she is from Illinois. I know there is a large faction of the Odle family that married Hayes family members. Martin Odle is listed in the 1850 Franklin and 1860 Williamson censuses. It is thought that he and his wife died sometime between 1860 and 1870 and so Scott, their son, comes with his aunt and uncle to Texas County, Missouri, to live. Do you belong to this family?
