Because of the similarity of names, Martha (Patsy) Howell? and Jeremiah Odle have frequently been confused with my line of Jeremiah Odle and Martha (Patsy)Freeman who lived in Rutherford Co TN from their marriage until they died.
Your story varies from other stories on this couple. I don't know which is correct. Read msgs #116, 145 and 146 on this forum for further info.

Patsy was a nickname for Martha same as Polly was a nickname for Mary.
