My g-grandmother was Madge McCauley from Dungloe who married a John O'Donnell. They were in the 1860 Pottsville PA census with two little girls, ages 3 and 1 - both girls were born in PA. (Thus, they were in PA before 1856.) In addition to the two girls, they had a son Joseph who was born in 1861. John O'Donnell died between 1861 and 1864. (I believe he was the John O'Donnell from Pottsville who was listed as killed in the Civil War in 1862.) There's a lot of similarities here. I would be interested in hearing more about your O'Donnell family. In the 1860 census, John was 22 and Madge was 21.
