My grandmother was Mary O'Flaherty. She came to SF with her two sisters who were twins and married twins. Martin and Thomas Kennelly. Mrs. Martin Kennelly, my fathers cousin lives in Napa Valley. Her son Thomas lives in Santa Rosa and is a realtor there. There is a O'Flaherty living in SF area that has moved from Ireland to SF in recent years that has been in touch with Mrs. Kennelly who is still in touch with the O'Flarety's in Ireland today. My father got a call recently from an O'Flaherty that lives in New Jersey, his daughter is the editor of the Ladies Home Journal. I would guess that there are other O'Flaherty's that also moved to SF area that are related as it was a large family. My grandmother married Charles Crowley and they moved from SF to Scotia, Ca. Charles Crowley's ggrandfather was either Cornelius or Timothy Crowley born in 1823 and my ggrandfather Timothy Crowley was a baby when the Crowley clan from Peterborough Canada moved to SF in 1942. There were O'Flahety's that were also part of the resettlement of Irish to Canada under a government project known as the Peter Robinson project that brought Irish to Canada (Quebec and Peterborough) between 1823 - 1825 or so.

Who are your ancestors that came to SF Area?

Regards Michael Crowley
