Am looking for any information on this branch of the O'Flaherty family.
From either Co Kerry or Athlone, Edmond/Edmund O'Flaherty and wife Johanna O'Conner. Both born and died in Ireland.
Had sons:
Edmund, first of family to immigrate to US, may have eventually settled in VA, or West VA. I have a photo of a woman from Nov 1918, looks to be about 20-30 years old, is supposedly his daughter. Edmund also is said to have a son who was an engineer on the railroad and was killed in a wreck.
Richard Edmund, b app 1869, NYC Police Officer (my ggrandfather). May have gone first to Norfolk VA, and worked for Baltimore and Ohio railroad in Huntington, West VA (possibly with his brother Edmund) before coming to NYC.
Michael, an artist for various newspapers in the NYC area, including "The World". Supposedly no marriage and no issue.
There was also a brother Tom and a sister Hannah who stayed in Ireland. Hannah died before Tom.
I have Richard Edmund's death certificate with parents names but that is about it, everything else is oral history. Anyone with connections/help, would love to hear from you. Thanks.
