Hi Paula!
I am a descendant of a Cordelia/Cornelia Frances Love. She had a sister named, Mary M. Love who married a John C. Ogburn in 1837. I have a copy of a petition filed by John & Mary, protesting the will of her mother, Nancy Love Dietrich, who died May 17, 1849, Matagorda, TX, which settled the bulk of the estate to Cordelia. There are also other papers re: settling this petition.
Mary and Cordelia's father was Samuel Love, who settled in Matagorda Co., TX in the 1820's and died about Jan 10, 1835.
I have found a Mary Ougborne and children listed in the 1850 Limestone Co., TX census, as listed below. She is listed three homes from Cordelia, who is living in the household of D. H. Love.

I am not sure if this is the Mary I am looking for. Does this match any of your information? I would be glad to share what I have with you. I have seen some mention of a John C. Ogburn in CA, but have not pursued it yet.
