Hi Annette,
Nice to hear from you. I am not related to the Ogburns but J. J. Ogburn was in Powder Springs in 1860 and was born in SC ca. 1804. I do suspect that he is a brother to your Thomas although J. J. was married in GA to a woman born in GA. And all of their children were born in GA. Hope someone can tell if J. J. and Thomas were connected.
On a more sure note, I think you and I are related on another line. I am a long time member of the Davenport Directory and saw where you descend from Rachel Davenport who married Manassa Mann. I descend from Rachel's oldest sister, Betsy Davenport who married James Murdock. I have been working on our Davenports for about 30 years but like to know more about the children of Rachel and Manassa. Would love to hear from you.
